This introductory dance program emphasizes fun and creative movement within a dance environment. Children will learn basic steps in a variety of dance disciplines such as ballet, jazz and acro. Students will be taught a routine which they will perform in our year-end recital. Costume and ticket fees are not included in enrolment fees.

Explore the grace and beauty of ballet. Participants will be trained in the RAD ballet technique. Through this training students will attain the ability to add graceful movement and coordination to their technique. Students will be placed based on previous experience and learn technique established in the level they are placed in. At Sabucco’s Dance Company we have professionally trained teachers ensuring the proper technique is always being taught. An expressive artistic dance form that incorporates a variety of techniques, which allow the students to portray their inner self. Our contemporary technique incorporates the historical contemporary artist’s way of movement as well as concepts such as improvisation. Our staff strongly believes in educating the students on the most recent ways of contemporary movement. Students will be taught a routine which they will perform in our year-end recital. Jazz is an exciting dance form that allows participants to enhance their physical coordination and flexibility as well as exploring di­fferent movements in conjunction with various music styles. Students will gain the knowledge and technique of jazz while finding their own creativity and way of movement. Students will be taught a routine which they will perform in our year-end recital. These classes are for intermediate to advanced dancers who are proficient in classical ballet technique. Warm-up exercises will focus on improving flexibility, extension, core strength, and balance. Center work will include both lyrical and jazz steps and combinations. Lyrical combinations will incorporate the technical elements of ballet with jazz and modern movements. Students will learn how to express a wide range of emotions through their dance based on musical interpretation. Lyrical combinations will consist of abstract movements that combine modern and classical ballet elements. Students will learn how to quickly change tempo, create sharp and clean transitions while telling a story through movement. Students will be taught a routine which they will perform in our year-end recital. Costume and ticket fees are not included in enrolment fees.

This class is a wonderful introduction to the structure of a classroom while allowing the student the freedom to explore their own natural movement. Dancers will march; gallop and roll...jump, twirl, wiggle and giggle while using their imaginations to go on exciting adventures. Fine and gross motor skills are developed through the use of music, dance, props and fun obstacle courses.

Hip-hop is an upbeat urban style of dance that is always evolving. This high-energy class consists of hip-hop and pop sounds, focusing on musicality and rhythm. Classes are designed in the traditional hip-hop format; Isolations, stretching, dance technique, progressive movements, combination or dance routine.

This class is a unique introduction to the hip-hop and jazz funk styles of dance. The class will include specific technique, choreography, and of course freestyle improvisation. Students will be taught a routine which they will perform in our year-end recital. Costume and ticket fees are not included in enrolment fees.

Our boy’s only classes offer an original, athletic experience while developing coordination, technique and rhythm. Classes promote positive self esteem as well as building confidence and stage presence. All choreography will be taught to develop teamwork, as well as teach spatial awareness through formations and help build memorization skills. Our boy’s only Hip-Hop classes consist of age appropriate movements, isolations and music. Whether you are looking to pick up a few new moves, get some exercise, meet new people or just have a lot of fun we’ve got it all here for you!

Musical theatre dancing is less of a particular style, and more of a description of dancing that is rooted in the diverse history of Broadway musicals. Relying heavily on a knowledge of ballet, tap, and jazz, musical theatre dancers are, first and foremost, actors and place a high focus on musical interpretation. Partner dancing has always been intertwined in musical theatre and is a great style for dancers who love to express and perform. Students will be taught a routine which they will perform in our year-end recital. Costume and ticket fees are not included in enrolment fees.

Tap dance is a type of dance characterized by using the sounds of metal taps affixed to the heel and toe of shoes striking the floor as a form of percussion, coupled with both characteristic and interpretative body movements. Students will be taught a routine which they will perform in our year-end recital and competitions. Costume, entry fees and ticket fees are not included in enrolment fees.

A class for the little ones 18 months – 36 months and their moms (Or Dads!). A fun filled class with a wee bit of dance, acro, movement, music and more. This is such a wonderful way to introduce those tiny dancers to ‘dance & music’  Mom/Dad will have a blast too!

note: This class will not perform in our year end recital therefore no costume fees are required.
